Upper-Arm Blood Collection Device

Clinical-Stage Development

  • LINKFAR is developing an upper-arm capillary blood collection device. The project has entered the clinical stage; final specifications and commercial availability remain subject to validation and market requirements.

Upper-Arm Capillary Sampling

  • A proposed collection site beyond the fingertip. The intended specimen is capillary whole blood, which must not be assumed interchangeable with venous blood for every assay.

Connected Collection Tube

  • The current development concept pairs an on-body collection device with a connected sample tube. Final configuration and instructions may differ from the visual.

Application-Led Evaluation

  • We invite laboratories, IVD partners and distributors to discuss specimen requirements, minimum usable volume, processing and transport before assessing fit.

LINKFAR is developing an on-body upper-arm blood collection device with a connected sample tube. The project has entered the clinical stage. It is intended to explore an additional route for low-volume capillary whole-blood collection alongside established venous and fingertip methods.

The current whole-blood volume goal is 500 µL (0.5 mL). This is a development target, not a final validated specification or a guaranteed yield; it does not refer to 500 µL of serum or plasma. Whether a sample is suitable for a particular test depends on the assay, specimen requirements, processing and stability.

Commercial availability, final specifications and permitted users have not yet been announced. They depend on the remaining validation work and requirements of each intended market. For a technical discussion, please tell us your target country, intended users, test panel, specimen type, minimum usable volume and handling workflow.
